Ally's Shrimp fly
Killer fly pattern - one of the most successful fly fishing flies used for salmon in rivers all around the world. Ally's Shrimp is a must to have salmon flies when you go to Scotland for atlantic salmon fly fishing. This fly pattern imitates a shrimp which is loved by salmons during their marine life time. Ally's shrimp is tied and designed by the famous fly tyer Alistar Gowan's. He tied this salmon fly pattern in 1981 but it was first published in 1988 after a huge success amon salmon flies in Scotland. Today this fly pattern is the most used fly for salmon fishing around the world. It is also a big success when fishing for sea trout.
Ally's shrimp fly fishing flies have been tied in many variations but the origial Ally's Shrimp is by far the most famous one. It among best flies, if not the best salmon flies, today.
